阿川（张孝全 饰）是一位性格十分温和的男子，某一日，正在工作的他忽然昏倒，然而经医生检查后发现身体并无异状，医生诊断阿川有可能患有精神方面的疾病。阿川回到了老家疗养，在那里生活着他的父亲王伯伯（王羽 饰）和姐姐小芸（黄湘琪 饰）。让王伯伯没有想到的是，阿川竟然杀死了小芸。 王伯伯将阿川关进了小屋之中，独自处理了女儿的尸体。小芸的丈夫许久不见妻子，找上门来，就在他快要找到阿川的藏身之处时，王伯伯杀死了他。小芸和丈夫的双双失踪引起了警方的注意，两名警察锁住了王伯伯，接近了阿川所在的小屋，却反被阿川杀死。为了替儿子掩盖罪行，王伯伯顶替了全部的罪过。。George Harvey Bone is a composer in early 20th century London, who is under stress because he is writing a piano concerto.
