该片讲述了一个汽车销售商因急需一笔资金做生意，雇佣了两个社会渣滓去绑架自己老婆，然后让他有钱的岳父拿出赎金，再跟绑匪分账，不料出现意外情况从而引起一系列血案的故事。。Set in 1989, Jake (Harmon), an out-of-work photojournalist who struggles with addiction and a troubled past, takes a job as watchman of a wilderness lodge on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, alongside veteran handyman Sparky (Granger).
