ときは戦国時代(せんごくじだい)。先祖(せんぞ)だいだい、ヒラ忍者(にんじゃ)の家に生まれた乱太郎(らんたろう)は、一流(いちりゅう)の忍者になってほしいという両親(りょうしん)のきたいをむねに、忍術学園(にんじゅつがくえん)に入学(にゅうがく)。そこには堺(さかい)の豪商(ごうしょう)のむすこ・しんべヱや、いくさで親(おや)をなくしながらもたくましく生きるきり丸がいた。忍術学園のせいとは忍者のたまご、『忍たま』とよばれる。忍術学園には、ナゾの天才(てんさい)忍者だった学園長(がくえんちょう)をはじめ、ユニークな先生(せんせい)や上級生(じょうきゅうせい)、ちょっと手ごわい「くの一教室(きょうしつ)」の女の子たちや忍犬(にんけん)ヘムヘムなどがいて、とってもにぎやか！。MST3K fodder.
