デビュー作「大日本人」（07）で、カンヌ国際映画祭の監督週間部門に正式招待された人気お笑い芸人、ダウンタウン・松本人志の監督第2作。気がつくと、四方を白い壁に囲まれた何もない部屋に閉じ込められていた謎の男の脱出劇が、コミカルかつミステリアスなタッチで描かれる。前作同様、松本自身が主演と脚本を兼任。共同脚本に高須光聖。音楽は「チャイナシャドー」「ジュブナイル」の清水靖晃。。Ok, folks, this is my last Ishii upload. Totsugeki! Hakata gurentai is his first feature and last 8mm film. Haven't watched it yet myself, but from the looks of it, this is very much reminescent of eighties and nineties v-cinema, sort of like early Miike (only made in 1978). There is considerably more dialogue than in his earlier films, but it doesn't seem too complicated plotw...。
